Q Can I just turn up?
A. If you have your own gun and are already a competent shooter Yes - come by yourself or with friends. If you would like a lesson or to organise a company day please pre-book by telephone.
Q Do I need my own gun, cartridges or a licence?
A. No, Within the firearms law and as a clay target shooting club registered with the CPSA (Clay Pigeon Shooting Association) we are allowed to supply you with guns, cartridges and the ability to shoot clays - under instruction.
Q What about safety?
A. In any form of shooting SAFETY is PARAMOUNT. You will receive full instruction on safety from an instructor. Whether you're a complete novice with no equipment or an experienced shot the same rules still apply
Q What sort of shooting can I expect?
A. Simply the best. In our scenic setting we can offer you the choice of Down the Line, Automatic Ball Trap, English Skeet, and Sporttrap.
Q Is it expensive?
A. No. You can pre-book a lesson to 'have a go' from £30 per person - this includes: gun hire, hearing protection, clays and qualified instruction.
For parties of 10 or more, a half / day event will cost £85 per head and includes a buffet meal.
With your own equipment a round of 25 targets costs £5.50
Q Can I bring friends to watch?
A. Of course - each stand is secure and supervised. So please do feel free to bring a few friends. You never know they will almost certainly want to try it for themselves.
Q Do I need training?
A. No. Not before you come. If you are a novice you will be accompanied by an instructor during shooting.
Q Can I get refreshments?
A. Yes, we have full catering facilities offering a super range of fast foods from burgers to an all day breakfast. Soft drinks and beverages are available during shooting.
Q Do I need any special clothing?
A. No, we supply eye and ear protection. All we suggest is that you wear sturdy footwear and bring a warm waterproof jacket.
Q How do I get there?
A. Set amid rolling farmland west of the Pennines just off J6 M61 with the Reebok stadium behind you, you go over the motorway to the first roundabout turn left through the traffic lights 200 yards on the right you will see an ATS Euromaster with a yellow sign turn into the car park and continue down the lane, bear right and the shooting ground is directly in front of you.
